If you're applying for a new Oregon drivers license, the first thing you should do is generate and download your driver license form and checklist. Prospective Oregon drivers license holders must apply for a learner's permit before they can apply for a new Oregon drivers license. Applicants should study the Oregon Drivers Manual as this helps the applicant to know the road rules and laws of the state of Oregon.

New Oregon drivers license applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants in each prospective age group will need to find their accepted Oregon licensing area.   • Pass the C class knowledge test
  • Pass the vision screening test
  • Surrender any valid drivers license or permit issued by any other state

  • Make sure the photograph of the applicant is taken
